Join us on Sunday, September 15 at 10:00 AM at PO Box Collective for free, public guided soundwalk to map and evaluate quiet places in the city, led by Eric Leonardson, professor in Sound at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and founder 

“A Prairie In the Lake” with Anthony Janas & Sullivan Gallery Talk with Eric Leonardson

Join us for the final Night Out In the Parks soundwalk series, “A Prairie In the Lake” with Anthony Janas, including an early afternoon talk by MSAE founder Eric Leonardson, at 1-2pm Saturday, September 22 in the Faculty Projects Exhibition, in the Sullivan Gallery at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

From 7-10pm that evening, please join Janas and Leonardson who collaborate on “A Prairie In the Lake,” outdoor soundwalks and listening station at Northerly Island Park, 1521 S. Linn White Drive, south of Adler Planetarium and east of Burnham Harbor on the lakefront.

Leonardson’s presentation in the Faculty Projects Exhibition features a large drawing and newly built electronic instruments for his dance collaboration with Yoshinojo Fujima (Rika Lin). Her dance was recently was recently presented at Links Hall, MCA Chicago, and will be performed next month in Elevate Chicago Dance 2018, at the Chicago Cultural Center on October 21.
