Attendance is free and open to the public
Deborah is a Chicago-based artist, filmmaker, Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago, and member of the MSAE. Her recent installation, Tactical Uses of a Belief in the Unseen “…draws upon the ecological effects of vibration and the history of sonic warfare.” Deborah’s work has been exhibited in the Whitney Biennial, MoMA, the Pompidou, Hammer Museum and many international film festivals. She also is the recipient of Fulbright and Guggenheim fellowships.
Deborah’s presentation will begin at 1:00 pm and lasts approximately one hour. At its conclusion we will enjoy a break to socialize, followed by a meeting to address current and future activities of and by the WLP and Midwest Society for Acoustic Ecology. Please bring a friend!
