Join the Midwest Society for Acoustic Ecology for our summer soundwalk series! Explore the beautiful nature of the Chicago Public Parks in an experience led by faculty and alumni from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and other local teaching artists. This series is in partnership with Chicago Park District and Night Out In the Parks which brings arts and culture to over 500 parks across the city, free and open for public participation.

How do we expand our listening to reach beyond the city and across Lake Michigan? Join sound artist Paige Naylor in hearing beyond our limits and into the horizon while walking through the Northerly Island Park prairie. Let your listening take flight as we stretch our collective sonic perception and imagination. Start location will be the Northerly Island Nature Play Space, next to the Northerly Island Parking Lot.
