Join your neighbors in soundwalks with Chicago teaching artists for a unique outdoor experience in our sound environment as a listener and performer of your soundscape:

  • Saturday, October 29 3:30—5:00 pm Washington Park with Norman W. Long. Meet in the Sculpture Garden at DuSable Museum, 740 E. 56th Place. View map

  • Wednesday, November 2 from 6:00-7:00 join us to walk with the Community Procession, celebrating Dia de Muertos with ElevArte Community Studio. After the procession, Amanda Gutiérrez* leads a soundwalk from 7:00—8:00 pm. Meet at Fieldhouse at Dvorak Park, 1119 W. Cullerton St. This is part of the Chicago Park District’s Night Out in the Parks program.

Chicago Park District’s Night Out in the Parks soundwalks series explores our relationship with all the sounds around us. Discover the sounds of the city’s life: people, birds, insects, mammals, amphibians, and fish. Become a citizen scientist. For all ages—admission free.
