We are eager to share news about MSAE’s nonprofit status, leadership, and opportunities including new soundscape studies and public programs, with themes of social justice, inclusion and healing at the heart of many initiatives.
Following numerous discussions in 2017 the new leadership of MSAE decided, to maintain MSAE’s steady rate of successes in engaging academic, creative and public interest in the interrelationships of sound, listening, and environment; it was necessary to reestablish the MSAE as a non-profit corporation apart from the ASAE rather than as a “chapter.”
Succeeding Christopher Preissing as Co-chair of the MSAE is Jonathan Eiseman, soundscape ecologist, musician and supporting member of the MSAE since 2015.
