The Midwest Society For Acoustic Ecology

Since 2009, the Midwest Society for Acoustic Ecology (MSAE) has been dedicated to exploring the vital role of sound and listening in both natural habitats and human societies. Through local and regional initiatives, including immersive soundwalks, educational workshops, and creative and scholarly projects, we promote the identification, preservation, and restoration of both cultural and ecological diverse sound environments. Members of MSAE are part of a growing community dedicated to exploring and advancing acoustic ecology. Together, we deepen the understanding, preservation, and significance of sound in environments.
