12th Annual REVEIL Friday 11 PM (UTC/GMT -5)

Midwest Society for Acoustic Ecology, and any other partners are participating in 12th annual REVEIL. New and established streamers to join in assembling a sequence of live sounds starting near the Earth’s 0 meridian at dawn’s first light, during the Dawn Chorus Day, returning 24 hours later with a 1 hour coda as the broadcast makes a live stream full loop of the earth.

Streams begin at 5AM London time (UTC+1) on Saturday 3 May and conclude at 6AM UTC+1 on Sunday 4 May. In Chicago, 5AM London time (UTC+1) is 11 PM (UTC/GMT -5) our time. 5AM our time is 11AM London time (UTC+1).

Reveil is a collaborative sound and radio project that circles the Earth on live audio streams at daybreak. Over 120 streams from a wide range of environments will join to create the 25+1 hr loop.
