WLD 2011: Chicago Phonography and Nighttime Soundwalk on Miller Woods trail

Join the Midwest Society for Acoustic Ecology, World Listening Project, and Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore to celebrate World Listening Day, as they host a Chicago Phonography performance followed by a Nighttime Soundwalk on Miller Woods trail. As the sun sets, enjoy the transformation of the daytime soundscape passing into the nighttime soundscape of nocturnal birds, insects, amphibians, and mammals. This event is partnered with the Chicago Park District stargazers, and concludes the second annual World Listening Day activities happening through the week.

The Douglas Center is located in the Miller section of Gary, a short five block walk along Lake Street north from Miller station on the South Shore Line commuter train; schedule online: http://www.nictd.com/
